1. Objective and Scope
Anandam is dedicated to publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research across a wide range of disciplines and languages. We welcome original research articles, reviews, case studies, and theoretical papers from diverse fields, including:
- Natural Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences
- Social Sciences: Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Political Science, Economics, Education
- Humanities: Literature, Philosophy, History, Linguistics, Arts
2. Submission Guidelines
Manuscript Preparation
- Language: Manuscripts can be submitted in one of two languages, English and Assamese, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. Authors should ensure that the language is clear and professionally edited. Manuscripts in languages other than English should include English keywords.
- Word count: The total word count of the manuscript must be within 2000 words including reference.
- Format: Manuscripts should follow the journal’s formatting guidelines, including layout, font size, spacing, and referencing style. Specific guidelines can be found on the journal’s website.
- Paper Size: The manuscript must be prepared using A4 paper size format with Portrait orientation
- File type: The manuscript must be prepared using MS Word (.docx). A PDF (.pdf) copy of the same must accompany the submission.
- Font: Use a standard font such as Times New Roman, 12-point size.
- Spacing: Double-spacing should be used throughout the manuscript, including the title page, abstract, main text, references, and captions.
- Margins: Leave margins of at least 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides of the page.
- Title: The title should be concise and informative, ideally not exceeding 15 words.
- Title Page: The title page should include:
- Title of the manuscript
- Names and affiliations of all authors
- Corresponding author’s contact information, including email address
- Acknowledgments of any funding sources or contributions
- Abstract: An abstract of up to 250 words should summarize the main objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the research. The abstract should be written in the same language as the manuscript.
- Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords that reflect the core content of the manuscript.

- Main Text: Organize the main text into sections such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Use subheadings to structure the content where necessary.
- Introduction: Clearly state the research question, objectives, and significance of the study. Provide background information and a brief review of relevant literature.
- Methods: Describe the study design, data collection procedures, and analysis methods in detail. Ensure that the methods are transparent and reproducible.
- Results: Present the findings of the study, using tables and figures to illustrate key points. Avoid interpreting the results in this section.
- Discussion: Interpret the findings in the context of existing research, discuss the implications, and highlight any limitations of the study.
- Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and suggest potential directions for future research.

- References: Cite all references in the text and list them at the end of the manuscript according to the journal’s referencing style. Ensure that all references are complete and accurate. The journal uses the APA referencing style.
- Example: Author(s). (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, Volume (Issue), pages. DOI
- Figures and Tables: Include figures and tables within the text at appropriate points, not at the end of the manuscript. Each figure and table should have a title and a legend explaining the contents. Provide high-resolution images if needed.
- Figures: Number figures consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.). Ensure that figures are clear and of high quality.
- Tables: Number tables consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.). Each table should have a concise title.
- Equations:Authors should clearly and concisely format mathematical equations, using a standard equation editor. Number equations consecutively, align them properly, and reference them by number in the text. Ensure symbols are consistent with the main text, and include high-resolution images if necessary.
- Supplementary Material: Submit any supplementary material as separate files and clearly indicate them in the manuscript. Supplementary materials may include additional data, methods, tables, or figures that support the main findings.
- Ethical Approval: For studies involving human participants or animals, include a statement of ethical approval from an appropriate ethics committee. Details of the ethical guidelines followed should also be included.
Submission Process
- Online Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted electronically as e-mail attachment to the Editorial office at: anandam.arbadc@gmail.com
- Cover Letter: Include a cover letter outlining the significance of the research, indicating the preferred language of publication, and declaring any conflicts of interest. The cover letter should indicate the corresponding author's full address and telephone numbers and e-mail address.
- Confirmation: Authors will receive an email confirmation upon successful submission of their manuscript.
3. Peer Review Process
Initial Screening
- All submissions undergo an initial screening by the editorial board to ensure they meet the journal's scope and standards. Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal’s guidelines or are outside the scope will be returned to the authors without review.
Double-Blind Review
- Anandam follows a double-blind peer review process, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other. At least two independent reviewers will evaluate each manuscript. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and their ability to provide an unbiased assessment of the manuscript.
Reviewer Feedback
- Reviewers will provide constructive feedback and recommendations on the manuscript. The editorial board will consider the reviewers’ comments and make a final decision on the manuscript.
Review Timeline
- Authors will be notified of the review decision within 8-12 weeks of submission. The decision may be acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection.
Revisions
- Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers’ comments and resubmit them for further evaluation. The revised manuscript should be accompanied by a detailed response to the reviewers’ comments.
4. Publication Ethics
Authorship
- All listed authors should have significantly contributed to the research. Changes to authorship must be approved by all authors and justified to the editor. Authors should provide a statement of author contributions outlining the role of each author.
Conflicts of Interest
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the research or publication. Conflicts of interest should be disclosed in a separate section of the manuscript.
Research Misconduct
- Anandam adheres to ethical standards in publishing. Any suspected misconduct, such as fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism, will be investigated as per guidelines.
5. Open Access Policy
Anandam is an open-access journal, offering immediate and free access to its published content. This ensures that valuable research is readily available to academics, researchers, and the public, promoting widespread dissemination and engagement.
6. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant Anandam a license to publish the article. Authors may reuse their work in other publications, provided they acknowledge the original publication in Anandam.
7. Editorial Board
The editorial board consists of experts from various disciplines and languages who oversee the peer review process and ensure the quality and integrity of the journal. The board members are responsible for making final decisions on manuscripts and upholding the journal’s ethical standards.
